Overview & Introduction
Carrie Lomax and Eilis Moody, Chairs
This study day brings together nurse specialists, practitioners and experts to enable you to update your clinical knowledge, communication skills and more.
The session’s objectives are to enable attendees to further their fertility nursing education, gain updates on legal issues, also covering the role of the fertility nurse and ART stimulation regimes.
Through both interactive case study discussions and afternoon workshops, attendees will gain further understanding on the complex issues around patient management and communication skills, for example, breaking bad news, other difficult scenarios and ethical and moral dilemmas.
In workshops, nurses will also consider ways in which they can participate in or lead research and quality improvement projects in their clinical setting, such as how to identify potential projects, write proposals, seek funding and scholarly output, such as abstracts, posters and manuscripts.
This day will be beneficial to nurses of all grades.
