Fertility problems are a recognised medical condition, yet in England just 4 out of 209 local clinical commissioning groups (CCGs) provide access to the recommended clinical treatment: 3 full cycles of IVF.
Instead, the majority of CCGs ration NHS fertility services based on postcode and arbitrary non-medical criteria.
If, like us, Fertility Network UK, you think this is unacceptable and cruel, please help us make a difference by taking the following action:
- Tell your MP: inform them of your situation and what is happening in your area; a template letter is available at http://fertilitynetworkuk.org/for-those-trying-to-become-parents/nhs-funding/campaign-for-equitable-treatment/ and MP’s contacts details are available at https://www.theyworkforyou.com/
- Tweet your support and a pic using the hashtags #IVFx3 #tellyourMP #therighttotry
- Help us create a fertility funding Thunderclap – a social media message sent collectively – on Facebook, Twitter and tumblr on Saturday 25 March at 3pm. Register your support for the Thunderclap at https://www.thunderclap.it/projects/52716-the-right-to-try-campaign
